Cucumbers do like radishes,pole beans, corn, onions, sunflowers, and leeks.
But do not like potatoes,
or aromatic herbs, sage in particular,
Sage with Carrots, repels the carrot fly.
Carrots/Tomatoes/Basil (plant basil in a row 'cause plant is short)
Planting Basil with the Tomato helps it to overcome both disease and insects
(mosquitos and flies), also laying
strips of basil over tomatoes in a serve dish will
deter fruit flies. Basil and Rue do not get along
(rue is bitter, basil is sweet)
Tomatoes with Asparagus/carrots/celery/chives/garlic/onions/parsley NO-corn,potatoes
MINT also loves and helps tomatoes...
POTATOES do like- cabbage, bush beans, eggplant, corn and marigolds,
Spinach and Strawberries wow true love....
Bay leaves can be placed with stored grains
(wheat,rice,rye,beans,oats and corn) to repel insects, weevils
Thyme is used as Potent cough syrup.(make w/sugar)
Good to plant all around garden except by cucumbers!
Lemon thyme chicken, good dish.
Eggplant likes the green beans...
Carrots like -peas, lettuce, chives, radishes, leeks, onions but do not like DILL
LETTUCE - with radishes, strawberries, cucumbers, no to pole beans and tomatoes
BEETS like lettuce, onions and cabbage - no pole beans tho...
Broccoli and Cabbage hindered by strawb and tomatoes
Asparagus like tomatoes, parsley and basil.
Corn with pumpkins, potatoes, peas, beans, cucumbers
